Yot Club is an American indie music project known for blending lo-fi, bedroom pop, and nostalgic soundscapes, building a strong cult following through its atmospheric and emotionally driven sound. The project lives within a soft, introspective universe—where music feels intimate, slightly distant, and deeply tied to memory and mood.
I developed the visual identity and album artwork for Yot Club, creating a cohesive system across digital and physical formats. The project included cover design, album visuals, motion graphics, and animations—designed for both streaming platforms and vinyl release. The concept was shaped directly in conversation with the artist, who introduced a personal narrative inspired by a story tied to a lake in Mississippi. From this, I built an illustrative universe rooted in nature, symbolism, and memory—translating that story into a surreal, narrative-driven landscape.
The final artwork for Santolina reflects this world through symbolic elements: a deer representing stillness and sensitivity, a serpent introducing tension and transformation, and a volcanic structure suggesting emotional eruption beneath a calm surface. Fire, water, and organic forms coexist in a dreamlike environment, where nature feels both quiet and unstable. The composition balances warmth and unease—mirroring the emotional tone of the music.
Visually, the project leans into textured, lo-fi surfaces, soft grain, and saturated yet controlled color. The goal was to evoke something that feels remembered rather than seen—like a fragmented landscape shaped by emotion. Alongside the main artwork, multiple variations were created for different singles, as well as animations that expand the visual narrative and give continuity across releases.
The final identity was adapted for vinyl pressing, allowing the artwork to exist as a tactile object—extending the digital atmosphere into a physical format.

The main challenge was translating a deeply personal and abstract story into a visual language that feels emotionally resonant without becoming literal. The artwork needed to carry symbolic weight while remaining open-ended—allowing viewers to interpret the narrative in their own way.
At the same time, the identity had to function across multiple formats, from small digital covers to large-scale vinyl artwork and motion pieces, without losing clarity or impact.
I approached the project through symbolic illustration and environmental storytelling, using nature as a vehicle to communicate emotion and narrative. By constructing a cohesive visual world—where each element (deer, serpent, fire, landscape) holds meaning—I created an identity that feels immersive and layered.
Texture and composition were key in maintaining a balance between clarity and atmosphere, while the use of motion extended the artwork into a living system rather than a static image. This allowed the visuals to evolve alongside the music, reinforcing the emotional continuity of the project.
The result is a cohesive visual universe that translates personal memory into image—where symbolism, texture, and composition work together to echo the introspective tone of Santolina.
